The Sahuarita Water Company needed a new 600,000-gallon reservoir and a three-pump booster station to move drinking water into a distribution zone, and engaged CEI through WestLand Resources for the electrical, instrumentation, and control design. CEI designed reservoir level monitoring with a hydrostatic level transmitter and equipped the booster pumps with variable-frequency drives for pressure control, adding discharge flow and pressure instrumentation and a hydro tank. The design included a new 480VAC service and power distribution and a remote telemetry unit with cellular failover. A radio path analysis validated reliable communication with the company’s existing SCADA before construction.
