The Town of Gilbert’s Layton Lakes Lift Station needed attention to its equipment, odor control, generator noise, and electrical and control systems, and CEI performed the design upgrades through WestLand Resources. The generator muffler was upgraded and the odor control replaced with a biofilter using a VFD blower and sound enclosure within existing site limits. CEI demolished the existing electrical equipment and designed replacement power distribution, motor starters, a service entrance, and lift-pump VFDs in a walk-in enclosure. A new RTU panel to Town standards, fiber raceways, operator interfaces, and PLC programming completed a modernized, quieter, better-monitored station.
