To accelerate solids removal from its crude stream, a copper mine added a centrifuge in parallel with an existing press, integrating the new unit into the plant’s existing process, power, and controls. CEI led the engineering team and provided project management, electrical and controls engineering, process programming, and start-up support. Construction administration included onsite support, RFI responses, site observations, O&M submittal reviews, and record drawings. Programming covered control-strategy development and native-format record copies of the control programs. Commissioning delivered a plan, site visits, a deficiencies list, a pre-functional checklist, and start-up.
